AVW Controls
have been contracted by Northern Light to provide control
systems for the new Sütlüce Cultural Centre. The control
systems will control several orchestra elevators, house curtains,
lighting bar hoists, ceiling panel hoists, scenery hoists,
projection screens, revolves and speaker hoists in the
concert hall and the theatre.
The centre which is now being constructed will hold up to 12000 people. It is located on the European side of Istanbul on the southern end of the Bosporus by the Gold Horn bay. |
| The Sütlüce Cultural Centre will occupy an area of about 30 000 square meters on a site previously occupied in ancient times by a slaughterhouse!. Eventually, the centre will consist of a concert hall, a theatre, a museum, a library and several exhibition halls. This project is financed (€270 million) by the Turkish government and World Bank. | |
