Overview

This package contains a published build of a VB.NET program for use with QAxis stage automation software.

Unzipping the Publish File

    1. Locate the downloaded publish .zip file.
    2. Right-click the file and choose Extract All…
    3. Choose a destination folder for the extracted files.
    4. Click Extract.
    5. Open the extracted folder and confirm that all published files are present.

Installing the VB.NET Program

    1. Open the extracted publish folder.
    2.  Look for the application installer filesetup.exe
    3. If setup.exe is present, run it first and follow the on-screen installation steps.
    4. If Windows displays a security prompt, choose More info and then Run anyway only if the file is from a trusted source.

Important Limitation

This software is not connected to actual stage equipment in this setup. Because of that:

    • Live stage movement and hardware control functions will be limited or unavailable.
    • Communication with real automation devices will not occur.
    • Equipment-dependent testing cannot be completed in this environment.

What You Can Still Do

Even without connection to physical stage equipment, the software can still be used for:

    • Writing cues
    • Editing cue data
    • Reviewing programming logic
    • Preparing show sequences for later use on a connected system

Notes

    • Keep all published files together in the same folder.
    • Do not move individual files out of the publish directory.
    • If the application does not start, try running it as Administrator.
    • If required components are missing, install the appropriate .NET runtime or prerequisites supplied with the publish package.

Support

If installation fails, verify that the publish folder was fully extracted and that no files were blocked by Windows security settings.
